The internist does not intend to establish an ultrasound diagnosis, but rather to achieve a better initial diagnostic orientation, in which ultrasound is another aid element: it is what we call “clinical ultrasound”. The ultrasound diagnosis should always be the responsibility of radiologists, who are the specialists with the necessary training and experience.

Within the Spanish Society of Internal Medicine there is the Working Group of Clinical Ultrasonography (fesemi.org), which is responsible for promoting and disseminating this very useful tool among internists on a national level. Dr. Pablo García Cabrera, responsible for the Clinical Ultrasonography Unit of our team, and Dr. Javier Moreno Izarra both belong to this Working Group.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=”3.25″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”3.25″ custom_padding=”|||” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_image src=”https://www.insideinternistas.com/en/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2017/01/ecografia_clinica_foto.jpg” align=”center” align_tablet=”center” align_phone=”” align_last_edited=”on|desktop” _builder_version=”4.9.0″ use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid” animation=”off” sticky=”off” always_center_on_mobile=”on”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.27.4″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat” module_alignment=”left” use_border_color=”off”]

Caption: from left to right:
– Gallbladder.
